TARVIN Rex nudged home 5-4 in a stunning game against Dee Miller which saw five penalties and three players sent off in the Chester and District Sunday League.

The Section A game saw Gordon Piggin, Stu Johnson, Eddie Lennie and Andrew Woodward all scored for Tarvin, while their luckless visitors went down to eight men. The winner came as Woodward added a second to his tally.

Watergate scored two second-half goals to finish 5-1 against home side Saltney Ferry. Despite Darren Phoenix striking for Saltney, it was no match for a brace from Jamie Moss and Pete Wheeler, and another from Kelvin Rodrick.

In Section B, Highfield had a safer scoreline as they entertained Stanley A. Despite conceding five goals including a Gareth Lee hat trick, the hosts put 13 past Stanley and are clear at the top of the table. Adam Langton got a hat-trick in the first five minutes and added another four. Paul Joiner also got a hat-trick, Lee Coote got two and Ross Broadbent hit a single. Steve Cooper and Dave O'Hara scored the others for Stanley.

Liam Durcan, Carl Rae and Steve Kirkness (2) struck for Bromfield in Section C, beating visitors Peacock 4-0. Pace Telecom are bottom, losing 7-1 at home to 10-man Greyhound. Ian Thomas's goal was no match for Michael Bryant and Lee Howell braces and goals from Lee Edwards, Shaun McCone and Craig Weaver.
