KENNY DALGLISH believes Liverpool's summer tour of North America will be the perfect preparation for the new season.
Earlier this week the Reds confirmed they will kick off the trip against Toronto FC in Canada on July 21.
Four days later they will play Roma at Boston's Fenway Park before moving on to Baltimore to face Tottenham on July 28.
“Going to North America is very appropriate with the owners coming from Boston,” Dalglish said.
“Of course there's the global branding and the development of that. It's important for us to go there and get to the people who can't get here.
“But it's also important for the players to get fitness. We're going there reasonably early to get ourselves acclimatised and get our training done.
“We've got three really good games lined up to play and it will be a good trip. We'll play the games, come back and look forward to some pre-season here.
“There's nothing sorted yet in terms of friendlies over here as we don't know the dates when we will be free.”
Liverpool need to win the FA Cup final against Chelsea next Saturday in order to progress straight into the group stage of the Europa League next season.
If they are beaten at Wembley they will face a qualifying round tie with games on August 2 and 9.
