Sweeping cross finds Muldoon at the back post but his effort is saved by Thompson. Lincoln now on top.

Mahon slips Hannah in behind but striker goes for an early shot and doesn’t catch it properly
Imps go close
Chances continue to be at a premium but Lincoln go close as Astles’ attempted clearances cannons off McDaid and the ball whistles past the post before Thompson saves Muldoon’s tame effort from 20 yards.

Higgins with a diving header from Hannah’s cross but a comfortable save for Farman.

Sam Hughes has to be helped from the field with a knock. His afternoon is over as Higgins comes on after 42 minutes.

Encouraging
The best move of the game from the Blues ends with Farman catching Hannah’s deflected shot.

Chances at both ends
Imps with another decent chance as Muldoon finds the ball at his feet and whips in a shot that Thompson grabs before Rooney has the Blues’ first shot at the other end but he scuffs his volley and it’s easy for Farman.
Good block
Hawkridge gets the better of Hughes but the teenager does well to get back and block his shot to avert the danger.
Solid defence
Blues haven’t created a chance so far but do look tighter than in recent weeks at the back.
