CASTROL Tessuti reign supreme at the top of The Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port Premier Division after a thumping 10-0 win over Vauxhall.

John Powell bagged a hat-trick along with a brace apiece from Carl Ngiam and Steve Morgan. Gary Scott, Peter Boyle and Ian Parry goals completed the rout.

The victory means Castrol top the league with 16 points from nine games.

However, non-playing Octel are handily placed in second, having played two fewer games than their rivals.

In the other Premier Division games, Cane Factory beat bottom club The Strawberry 2-0 with goals from Eric Fogg and Sean McCone.

St Saviour's had an important 4-2 victory over Dysett Rangers, with Jamie Murphy, John Merrill and Simon and Mike Thelwell all finding the net.

And The Woodlands won by a single goal in a 2-1 victory at home to struggling Gunners Enterprise.

The Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port Division One brought a hard-fought game between leaders Cat Carpet Craft and The Bull.

The game ended 3-3 with Cat Carpet Craft maintaining a two-point lead. Goals came from Trevor Roberts, Danny Lloyd and Mark Ford, while away side The Bull have Tony Livens to thank for a hat-trick.

Mid-table CCU produced a top display to see off The Strawberry. Paul Merrick (2), Mark Cunningham and Mark Ellis gave them the points.

Struggling Sutton Way played high-flying KingKabs in a game that ended 2-2. The home side produced goals from Scott Rowley and Mark Livens while the away team shared the spoils thanks to an own goal and a strike from John McLean.

The Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port Division Two produced a couple of mighty away wins for Holiday Inn and Princes Rovers.

Phoenix Reserves were the unfortunate opponents of The Holiday Inn where star of the show was four-goal hero Steve James. Ross Davies netted twice and Mark Tasker also scored.

Princes Rovers produced an outstanding display at Sutton Rangers, who have just two points from eight games.

Four-goal hero Graham Davies was Rovers' star man and there were additional goals from Paul Mayers and Steve Foden. Sutton replied with a solitary strike from Steve Armitage.

Mid-table SCFC suffered a home loss in a five-goal thriller against RJS Sir Robert. A brace from Ben Sherlock and a goal from Steve Craven gave the away side the points despite a goal each from SCFC's Nick Healing and John Gibbs.
