HEATH Park U13s showed their character for an outstanding 5-1 comeback win at Stockport's Spurley Hey in the Cheshire County Cup.

After falling behind in the first half, they pulled out all the stops upon the restart.

A scrambled Aiden Dennett goal made it 1-1 and Heath Park took control.

Anthony Fisher lobbed the Spurley keeper and scored again in the 50th minute to make it 3-1.

The goal of the game came from a cross by Declan Garaven which was volleyed in superbly by Jordan Cunningham.

Further pressure resulted in more confusion in the home box and Dennett sealed the victory in the 60th minute with a powerful shot into the bottom corner.

Heath Park will visit Wilmslow Sports Juniors in the quarter-finals on Sunday, January 14.

Widnes Bayer beat Sporting Celtic 6-1 but Sporting Rangers gave a season's best display to overrun St Basil's 8-1.

Their targetmen were Scott Foran (3), Matty Johnson (2), Claudio Joao, Mike Gaffney and Jack Whittington.

Brandon Boys (Group One) and Moorfield Celtic (Group Two) have won their sections in the C Turner U14s Cup.
