CHESTER FC will celebrate their championship triumph with an open-top bus tour and civic reception.

Hundreds of Blues fans are expected to take to the streets on Saturday, April  28 to see Neil Young’s players parade the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division trophy.   The tour will end at the Town Hall, where manager Young and his squad will be guests of the Lord Mayor of Chester, Eleanor Johnson.

Cheshire West and Chester Council leader Mike Jones, a Chester FC fan and season ticket holder, said: “I don’t think we could have scripted this fairytale success story any better. I’m delighted for the fans and everyone connected with the club.”

Chester’s players were also treated to a bus tour and civic reception last year when they won the Evo-Stik First Division North title. Hundreds of supporters gathered in Town Hall Square to salute their heroes.

Chester FC director and media officer Jeff Banks said: “Last year’s event was a tremendous success.

“I am sure that, once again, the city will relish the chance to celebrate in style.”

The victory parade will leave the Exacta Stadium at noon and arrive at Town Hall Square at approximately 12:30pm, having travelled along Bumpers Lane, Sealand Road, South View Road, Raymond Road, Canal Street and Northgate Street.
