Who's playing?

North Ferriby United v Chester FC.

When and where?

Tuesday, October 4 (7.45pm) at Eon Visual Media Stadium, Grange Lane, North Ferriby, East Yorkshire, HU14 3AB.

Any team news?

Ryan Astles is a major doubt for the trip to East Yorkshire after suffering a suspected broken wrist in Saturday's 5-0 home win over Dover that saw him brought off at half time.

Blaine Hudson is likely to be available again but Luke George could get the nod after his superb 45 minutes alongside Sam Hughes in the heart of defence on Saturday.

Tom Shaw suffered cramp towards the end of the Dover clash but is expected to line up alongside Ryan Lloyd in the centre of midfield while Blues boss Jon McCarthy will have to make a decision on which two of Kane Richards, James Alabi and Oluwaseun Akintunde get the up front.

Tell me about North Ferriby United...

Promoted from the National League North via the play offs at the end of last season, North Ferriby have endured a tough start to life in non-league football's top tier.

The Villagers, who won the FA Trophy in 2015 after beating Wrexham on penalties, were dealt a blow at the start of the season when promotion-winning boss Billy Heath left to take up the hot seat at FC Halifax Town with Steve Housham installed as his replacement.

Sitting just inside the relegation zone with 10 points from 13 games, North Ferriby come into the clash on the back of three straight defeats but have recorded some impressive results so far, not least a 1-0 win at Gateshead last month.

They will be looking to new signing Kyle Wootton, signed on loan from Scunthorpe United, to provide them with a cutting edge.

What has Jon McCarthy had to say about it?

"The players have set themselves up with an opportunity where they have a couple of games that people expect us to win," said the Blues boss.

"It is a different team talk for us at North Ferriby but I have done that with the games against Guiseley and Braintree so we recognise that.

"The players know what I am going to hit them with. We will do our preparation and make sure we're ready."

The Blues made the trip to East Yorkshire last on a Tuesday night in March 2012 where they ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at Grange Lane.

Chester extended their lead at the summit of the Northern Premier League to 11 points en route to the title thanks to strikes from George Horan, Michael Wilde and a late Chris Simm effort.
