THE games are coming thick and fast for Ellesmere Port, who claimed a 1-0 home win over Cammell Laird Reserves on Saturday.

Matty Forshaw was on target for Port, who saw last Tuesday's Cheshire Amateur Cup semi against Heswall postponed.

The tie has been rescheduled for Tuesday (April 3) at Vauxhall Motors (7.30pm ko) but before then the Port have two important league fixtures - against Christleton tonight and Marine on Saturday.

Castrol Social had an excellent 3-2 result at relegation rivals Merseyside Police on Saturday, courtesy of efforts from Stuey Carroll (2) and Gary Scott. It was a big win for the Oilmen, who are now just two points adrift of the Police with seven games in hand.

Vauxhall Reserves gave a good account of themselves against second-placed Maghull, but capitulated to goals from John Morgan and Ryan Ward.

The derby in Division Two between Willaston and Capenhurst Villa had plenty of goals, but it was Willaston who secured a 4-3 win through Mike Mosedale, Craig Spence, Dave Forbes and Lee Dunbar. Cape replied via Sparky Ryan (2) and John Keefe.

On current form, Grange Athletic may join Capenhurst and Willaston in Division Two next season. On Saturday, Grange claimed an 8-0 triumph over Merseyside Police Reserves thanks to goals from Ian Forster (4), Dave Jackson (2), Cameron Forster and Mike Thelwell.

Despite goals from Chris Swords and Alan Richardson, Ellesmere Port Reserves came unstuck against Upton AA Reserves, who emerged 3-2 victors.
