MIDDLEWICH Town made the near perfect start to the season on Saturday with a 3-0 win at Daten.
They might have scored more but they dominated so much that goal-keeper Kevin Whitehead had only one save to make.
Once Mike Brandon had netted the opener all doubts disappeared and Brandon added a header in the second half before Joey Roberts wrapped up the points.
'We clinched it in the second half, but were better early on,' said manager Terry Murphy.

They dominated the first half and squandered four good chances including Steve Gibson missing an open goal. But they did go in front from Andy Pennington's finish to a well-worked move after 20 minutes.
Lino levelled before the break and then piled on the pressure against tiring hosts, scoring the winner and then hitting the bar.

Two players were sent off as Witton drew with the team who were promoted with them. They made a great start when Leon Williams finished coolly after only five minutes and extended the lead in the 23rd minute when Gavin Smith glanced home a neat Simon Hughes through ball.
Home defender Rob Preidt finished from close range in the 27th minute and before the break Albion were unlucky not to be given a penalty when Smith was fouled. Just when it looked as if Albion would turn round in front Ged McAllister equalised.
