FRIDAY night football is on its way to Rivacre Park.

Vauxhall Motors take a break from the usual Saturday afternoon routine to host Nuneaton Borough in a Conference North fixture this Friday. Kick-off is 7.45pm.

Motors manager Carl Macauley is hoping experienced winger Stuart Whittaker (ankle) will be fit to face his former club.

The influence of Whittaker (pictured) on the team has been missed in the last fortnight as the Motormen have crashed to back-to-back defeats.

Having missed the chance to close the gap on the Conference North leaders with a 1-0 defeat to Harrogate Town, they slipped up in the FA Cup on Saturday in a 3-0 loss at Witton Albion.

Now Macauley's men are looking to bounce back against former Conference outfit Nuneaton. nThe Motormen's FA Cup campaign may be over, but the club's young guns are through to the next round of the FA Youth Cup.

They tackled Workington at the weekend and ran out 1-0 winners thanks to sub Andy Johnson's 89th-minute goal.

Motors' reward is a home meeting with Morecambe on Sunday, October 15. Kick-off is 1pm.
