MIDDLEWICH were beaten for only the second time last Tuesday - 2-0 at Styal - but won the title only 24 hours later when Barnton drew at Knutsford.
Ben Carrigan put Barnton ahead after only five minutes, but the home side levelled shortly after.
But that was as good as it got for Knutsford and the draw meant they could no longer overhaul Middlewich.
Town were in virtually an unassailable position and manager Terry Murphy said: 'We really won it ourselves.'
Middlewich officially receive the trophy, which has been in their clubhouse since they won it last year, before Saturday's home match against Gamesley.
Middlewich showed no gratitude to their neighbours on Saturday, beating Barnton 1-0 at Seddon Street.
The home side dominated the first half and took the lead just before the break when Barry Crellin parried a Mike Brandon effort and the striker pounced on the loose ball.
Barnton were the better side after the break and Shaun Came was close to heading an equaliser.
The two sides meet again at Witton next Wednesday in the Mid Cheshire FA Challenge Cup final (7.30pm).
Town boss Terry Murphy said: 'They showed we will have to be at our best.
Barnton manager Mark Came added: 'I changed things round for the second half and we looked the better side for long periods but we lacked that edge up front.'
