Bromley are buzzing with confidence after a fantastic season saw them win a first league title since 1961 and took the club to its highest ever level.

Mark Goldberg's team turned play-off disappointment into the fuel to secure promotion outright, losing just nine games to finish on top of the Conference South.

The Ravens recruited well in the summer but took a while to find top gear, but the addition of some important January signings gave them the impetus to see off challengers Boreham Wood, Basingstoke Town and Whitehawk.

Goldberg will keep faith with most of the squad that performed so well for him, but the ex-Crystal Palace chairman has been around a long time and knows he will need to be active again this summer.

His recruitment has already begun with Newport County pair Lee Minshull and Max Porter - who both have experience of winning promotion to the Football League - moving to the Fortress Stadium.

Bromley have waited 123 years to reach the highest echelon of non-league football and will be determined to ensure it's not a short visit.

Who are they?

Founded in 1892, Bromley has a rich and long history in the amateur game: winning a plethora of Kent and London cup competitions, and the the old FA Amateur Cup on three occasions.

The Ravens switched leagues on a frequent basis for many years, competing in the London League, Spartan League, Isthmian League and Athenian League among others.

During the 1950s, the club collected plenty of trophies but the next decade proved far less successful.

Bromley - now established campaigners in the Isthmian League - recovered and floated between the Premier Division and Division One for a number of years.

Relegation and the restructuring of non-league football led to them dropping to the eighth-tier but two quick promotions transformed the club's fortunes and took them into the Conference South in 2006.

Bromley moved around the division for several seasons before mounting a strong title challenge in 2013-14, losing out in the promotion play-offs.

Undeterred, the club made some high-profile signings last summer and this season put that disappointment behind them to reach the Conference National for the first time.

Last meeting with the Blues

The Ravens will be another new opponent for the Blues next season as the two clubs have never faced each other.

Players to watch

England C defender Jack Holland came through the ranks with the Ravens - playing under Goldberg for the club's under-10s - before Crystal Palace snapped him up aged 16. Holland was loaned back to Bromley before making a permanent return in August 2013 after leaving Selhurst Park. The 23-year-old has been a revelation at the heart of defence, forging a rock-solid partnership with captain Rob Swaine. Holland should be more than capable of transferring that form to a higher level.

Moses Ademola moved into the Football League with Brentford as a 19-year-old from Croydon Athletic. He never quite made the grade at Griffin Park and has spent the past six seasons in the Conference South. A skillful winger with an eye for goal, Ademola helped both Woking and Dover Athletic win promotion, but then moved clubs. He had a spell at Eastleigh in between but now looks settled with the Ravens - he scored 15 times last season - and seems ready for an overdue shot in non-league's top flight.
