JORDAN HENDERSON has urged Liverpool to focus on improving their Premier League position before thoughts turn to the FA Cup final.
The Reds, who are currently eighth in the table, face league games against West Brom, Norwich City and Fulham prior to returning to Wembley next month.
The England Under-21s international, who played the opening 75 minutes before making way for Maxi Rodriguez, relished the experience of Saturday’s semi-final win over Everton.
“We’ve won the Carling Cup and we’ve got a massive game coming up with another final,” Henderson said.
“But we’ve still got to concentrate on the league and try to finish as high as we can.
“We came through in the end against Everton. We were a bit disappointed with our first half performance but in the second half we came out of the blocks really well, created a few chances and managed to put them away.
“I think we deserved it in the end.”
