Liverpool FC News: LIVERPOOL are staging a generous Christmas giveaway in time for next week’s Europa League match against FC Utrecht.
Up to four under-17 year-olds will be able to get into next Wednesday night’s match free of charge with any adult who purchases a reduced price £20 ticket for the Anfield Road or Centenary Stand.
Liverpool have already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition and manager Roy Hodgson is likely to name an inexperienced line-up.
But rather than see swathes of empty seats inside Anfield, Liverpool have decided to encourage youngsters to fill the stadium for the final Group K clash.
“We have been listening to supporters since we arrived at the club and one of the key things we have been told is to make sure a new generation of fans are always able to watch the team in action,” said chairman Thomas Werner.
“As a small gesture of our appreciation of the welcome we have been afforded so far, and in recognition of the fact that it is a very costly time of year for families, particularly those with young children, we have decided to make tickets for the Utrecht game free for kids.”
Visit the Ticket Office or call 0843 170 5555. Fans who have already bought kids' tickets for this game are entitled to apply for extra junior tickets for free. Call 0843 170 5000.
