CONNOR RANDALL is enjoying life at the Academy after making the step up to Liverpool Under-18s this season.

The home-grown attacking midfielder, who recently turned 17 and signed his first professional deal with the Reds, has represented England at both under-16 and under-17 levels.

Randall said: “I’ve been here since I was six so this is my 11th season now.

“We had Coops (Steve Cooper) as our coach last year with the under-16s so he knows us and we understand what he wants. It’s been good so far. The focus is on both results and development.

“I’m usually a central midfielder but I’ve played off the striker and also as a right winger. I’m an attack-minded player, but wherever the team needs me I’m happy.

“We were playing well without getting the results early on but more recently we’ve had a few good wins so hopefully we can continue and push on.”
