"I've been in bad teams and this is not a bad team." That's the assessment of Chester FC defender Blaine Hudson on the current Blues squad.

A tough start to the season sees Jon McCarthy's side sitting in 19th in the National League following three defeats from four games.

Defensive weaknesses and individual errors have seen the Blues ship nine goals in those four games, the latest coming in Chester's 3-2 loss at Barrow on Tuesday night.

We caught up with Hudson, a summer signing from Wrexham, who spoke to us on the need to address their defensive issues, his role as one of the squad's more experienced players and how the current squad is more than capable of turning around their poor start.

Thanks for listening.
