CHESTER CITY manager Mark Wright will talk to the management of Everton today to see whether goalkeeper Iain Turner will be available for next Tuesday's important Nationwide Conference match at Telford United.

Turner, on loan at the Deva until the end of the season, was last night selected for the Scotland U21 squad to face Romania in a friendly on Tuesday night at Firhill.

And Wright said last night: "I shall talk to Alan Irvine (Everton assistant manager) to enquire about Iain's availability.

"Obviously it is a great honour for the lad to be selected for his country, and I am sure there will be many more honours coming his way in the future.

"He has been in excellent form for us since he joined us, and naturally if possible, we would like him to assist us in this important game at Telford. So I will discuss the situation with Alan as soon as possible."

Chester do have Andy Woods available if it isn't possible for Turner to play at Bucks Head. The former Northwich Victoria keeper who signed for City earlier this month has yet to make a start for the Conference leaders.
