ANDY CARROLL endured a tough afternoon at The Hawthorns.
Similar to when FT first came to Liverpool he found himself getting roughed up.
Of course Carroll won’t be bullied because he’s a big lad who can look after himself.
But he has to be careful how he handles himself when defenders are trying to wind him up and provoke a response.
Rival managers will be telling their players to get into Carroll from the start like Jonas Olsson did on Saturday. The danger is he loses his cool, reacts in the wrong way and gets himself sent off.
It’s a learning curve for Carroll after his high profile move from Newcastle. There’s a lot of pressure on the young lad.
Carroll struggled against West Brom on Saturday but he needs games and is still building up his fitness. I’ve got no doubt he’s going to be a great addition for Liverpool.
