IT was great to read Steven Gerrard talking so positively in Saturday’s Echo.
The Liverpool skipper is on the comeback trail and will be back in full training this week.
It’s been a tough time for Steven and he’s clearly desperate to get back.
His return will be timely because it’s a huge six weeks coming up for Liverpool.
In the past we’ve had to rush Steven back because we hadn’t had good enough players to get results without him.
But now the squad is stronger I’m sure Kenny will only play him when he thinks he’s 100%.
There’s been a lot of nonsense spoken about Steven being finished. There are rumours about rumours in this city – it’s always been the same.
But it’s clear from what Steven said that the operation was a big success and it’s exciting to think about him being back available. He’s only 31 and still has so much to offer.
