THE input of Alex Ferguson on the future of Luis Suarez was not needed this weekend.

His comments after the match, when he told satellite television that Suarez should never play for the club again, were not welcome.

Ferguson also called Suarez a “disgrace” and said he could have “caused a riot” after not shaking Evra’s hand.

You don't get Kenny Dalglish passing comment on Wayne Rooney's conduct or future at Manchester United, for example, and saying that he should no longer be allowed to play for United.

But we all know that Ferguson takes any opportunity to stick the knife in when he can and he didn’t waste the opportunity on Saturday afternoon.

Ferguson should not be commenting on this.
