HIS DERBY HIGHLIGHTS:

14 April 2012, FA Cup semi-final, Liverpool 2 Everton 1

LIVERPOOL booked their place in the FA Cup final after dramatic triumph against Everton at Wembley.

The Reds fell behind in the first half when a defensive mix-up between Jamie Carragher and Daniel Agger allowed Nikica Jelavic to give Everton the lead.

But in the second half Luis Suarez pounced on Sylvain Distin's backpass to restore parity and then three minutes from time Andy Carroll nodded Craig Bellamy’s free-kick past Tim Howard.

16 April 2001, Premier League, Everton 2 Liverpool 3

GARY McALLISTER’S last-gasp 45-yard free-kick settled a remarkable contest which featured five goals, a missed penalty, 12 bookings and the sending off of Igor Biscan.

Emile Heskey fired the Reds in front early on but Duncan Ferguson levelled before the break.

Markus Babbel put Liverpool 2-1 up before Robbie Fowler slammed a spot-kick againt the post.

When Sami Hyypia was penalised for a foul on Ferguson, David Unsworth’s penalty looked to have rescued a point for the Blues but deep into stoppage time McAllister provided a late twist. It was Liverpool’s first win at Goodison since 1990.

25 March 2006, Premier League, Liverpool 3 Everton 1

JAMIE CARRAGHER led by example as the Reds dug deep following the early dismissal of Steven Gerrard for two yellow cards.

Liverpool took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Phil Neville nodded Xabi Alonso’s corner into his own net.

Luis Garcia added a second early in the second half before Tim Cahill halved the deficit.

Andy van der Meyde's red card for an arm in Alonso’s face evened up the numbers for the last 17 minutes and Harry Kewell’s late strike wrapped up the points.

13 March 2012, Premier League, Liverpool 3 Everton 0

THE Reds went into the game on the back of three straight league defeats but they routed Everton on a special night at Anfield to wreck David Moyes’ 10th anniversary celebrations.

Steven Gerrard provided the inspiration on his 400th Premier League appearance for the club.

The skipper celebrated the first hat-trick in a Merseyside derby since Ian Rush scored four in the Reds’ 5-0 win at Goodison Park in 1982. It was the first at Anfield since Fred Howe achieved the feat for the Reds in 1935.
