CUSTOM House will face MBNA in the Bill Gresty Memorial Trophy final.

MBNA almost threw away their chance after building a 3-0 lead in Sunday’s semi-final against Bache thanks to goals from Steve Bevan, Ben Carragher and Ben Irwin. Dave Wheatley and Andy Wilcockson netted to threaten a comeback, but it was a stretch too far as the Bankers won 3-2.

Martin Kjaer fired a powerful second-half strike to separate Custom House and Red Lion in the second half of the other semi, which ended 1-0.

Shane Futcher and Will Kelly scored to hand Dee Miller a 2-0 win over St Theresa’s in Concorde Trophies Section A.

Lache Athletic’s Mike Edwards scored but Castrol Swan were earned a 2-1 victory. Bouverie Orient triumphed in a 10-goal thriller, beating Lock Vaults 7-3.

In the Chester Chronicle Section B, Saltney Ferry suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat at Upton YC. Mike Gerrard scored twice, including a spectacular 50-yard effort, and Kev Clutton finished Ferry off.

Waverton and The Oak were inseparable as they each took a point from their 4-4 draw. Andy Connolly, Dave O’Hara, Ian Cuthbertson and Luke Scott got Oak’s goals while Craig Owens, Jamie O’Brien, Chris Farrell and John Farrell were on target for the hosts.

Ross Broadbent’s hat-trick helped Highfield to a 5-3 win over Bulls Head, Graham Caring and sub Nick Wright also scored.

St Werburgh’s fell 4-3 to Corner Pin thanks to goals from Lee Evans, Paul Armour (2) and an own goal, while Greyhound held out until the last 20 minutes before losing 3-0 to Bromfield in Financial Solutions Section C. Two penalties from Liam Durcan and a Dean Emerson goal won it.

Grosvenor Celtic’s John Woods and Chris Wraige gave them a 2-1 win over Inter Barrow. Neil Turton scored for Inter.
