HOLMES Chapel Hurricanes U12s sealed the Mid-Cheshire Division One title with a resounding 5-1 victory over Eger ton.

Top-scorer Tom O'Donoghue, a former keeper who has scored in every home fixture this season, grabbed a double to take his tally to 20. Oliver Dray bagged a superb hat-trick to seal the deal. A team spokesman said: 'Congratulations go to all 15 players who have worked so hard all season.'

In the Staffordshire County Minor Youth League, Nantwich Town U17s (Alex Goodwin 2, Dale Berrisford. Anthony Parkes) overcame Kidsgrove Rangers 4-2.

In the South Cheshire Youth League, the U12 Diablos (Aaron Gray) went down 2-1 to Wistaston United Lions, and the U11 Dabbers were smashed 6-0 by Nuttalls Knights. The U15s hammered Crewe Shooters 5-0.

In the Potteries Junior Youth League, unbeaten Nantwich U16s (Lucas Thornton 2, Josh Hancock, Steven McNichol, Adam Woodall, Matt Hughes) crushed Blythe Bridge United 6-0.

In the Cheadle & District League, the U15s (Danny Mountford, Tom Parkes) pipped Audley Juniors 2-1, but the U13s (James Southern 2) went down 3-2 to Harpfields FC.

Crewe and Nantwich Girls U10s (Mary Turley, Eve Davenport 2) booked their place in the semi-final of the Cheshire FA Knockout Cup with a 3-0 win over Halton Girls.
