ADAM Socha added to his growing reputation with a hat-trick for The Express in the Crewe Regional Sunday League.

The striker banged in five goals for his Saturday and Sunday teams last weekend, and is being considered for a start for Crewe FC in the Mid-Cheshire League.

He did his chances no harm with a treble during a 3-1 success for Express over Beeston Hotel (Andy Clacher) which sent them top of Division One.

Audlem DK (Paul Cronshaw) found AFC Barkode (Craig Pownall) a tough proposition in their 1-1 draw. Railway Hotel (Adam Parker 3, Clarke, Cope, Upton, Ben Parker) hit Salvador 7-0.

Fox Elworth (Hunter, Matthews) earned a comfortable 2-0 win over the Vine, while Cheshire Rangers were hammered 8-1 by JTS Wistaston (Ben Craddock 2, Joe Fisher, Jason Middleton, John McNaughton, Joseph Ghader, David Corness, OG).

In the Premier Division, Bentley Motors (Daryl Scarlett, Melling, Edwards, Jones 2, Robinson) beat Wrenbury (Griffiths, Phillips) 6-2, while White Lion (Griggs 2, Griffiths, Martin, OG) edged Farmers (Williamson 2, Lomas 2) 5-4.

Nantwich Wanderers (Dave Hanson 2, Tom Barnes) stay third after a 3-1 win over Betley (Nick Chapman), while Boot & Shoe Villa (Stafford, Evans, Charlesworth, Dodd) kept up the chase with a 4-3 victory over Flying Lady (Rutherford, Maskery, Kulak). Wickstead (Adams, Bibby, Mitchell, Forster, Cornock 2) thrashed Faddiley 6-1.

In the Crewe and District League MMU Cheshire won the battle of the Premier Division's top-two when they ran out 2-0 winners against Congleton Athletic, thanks to Ben Qualtrough (2).

Winnington Avenue (Dave Ashley 2, Andy Howell, Craig Millington) defeated hosts Bunbury (Tom Curshaw, Rob Jones) 4-2.

Malpas (Rob Martin, Tim Howarth, Alan Newport) were undone 5-3 by Curshaws (Andy Jackson 2, Tim Lamb 2, Dean Amery).

Division One leaders Sandbach (John Powell 4, Paul Burns) won an entertaining game with Wheatsheaf (Danny Hough 2, James Collins) 5-3, while Lostock Reserves (Mike Harrison 2, Jimmy Kimber, Jack Bryning) held onto second spot with a 4-2 victory over Cuddington (Graham Clarke, Ashley Clarke).

In the Cheshire and Border Counties League Division One Cup, Crewe Athletic (Davidson 3, Hudson, Evans) overcame Farmers Arms 5-3.

Black Bear (Hutchings, Birkby) went down 5-2 to the Blazer (Jones 2, Rossiter, Aldington, Barrett), while Horseshoe (Moores 2, Brown 2, Hardstaff, Thompson) thumped SLB Cars 6-0. Mere Inn (Bache, Varney, Whitehead, OG) beat Scholar Green (Fellows, Brown) 4-2.

In the Division Two cup, Cumberland (Wainwright, De le Haye) drew 2-2 with Leisure Club (Knowles, Banks). A hat-trick by Billington helped Malbank to a 7-2 victory over Nags Head. Oak (Hughes) and Potting Shed (Hope) drew 1-1.

A late David O'Shea goal was not enough to earn Goostrey Athletic a point at the Plough during a 2-1 defeat in the Mid-Cheshire Sunday League Division Two.
