VICS fought hard for their away point on Saturday after going 1-0 down against the run of play.

Having started brightly, they allowed a Golborne forward to turn, shoot and score inside the box.

The home side then took the initiative, but Vics continued to look dangerous on the counter-attack.

In the second half, Vics conceded again when a rebound fell to an onrushing attacker on 50 minutes.

But Vics sub Aaron Brown pulled a goal back with a 25-yard screamer and in-form Dan Haralambaus completed the comeback with a fine finish from the edge of the area inside the last 10 minutes.

Vics travel to face Crewe FC tomorrow.

* Malpas were due to play Crewe FC last Saturday but the match was postponed because of snow. Mark Jones's men go to Maine Road Reserves tomorrow.

The club will hold a 12-hour 'football-a-thon' on the new all-weather pitch at Malpas Sports Club on Sunday, February 25.

The fundraising event will start at 10am and finish at 10pm and there will be plenty of football, food and drink.
