Moved to Chester in 2000 but struggled for form and fitness and looked a shadow of the player held in high regard at Shrewsbury.5 of 16Dennis Reeves and Elfed Morris: Two of the most respected players to wear the Chester shirt, goalkeeper Reeves and forward Morris also spent time at Wrexham. Reeves left Sealand Road in 1967 after losing his place but made only 15 appearances at the Racecourse. Morris made the opposite move, featuring a handful of times for the Reds before joining Chester, where he was part of the 'Famous Five' forward line.6 of 16Graham Turner: Before his long and successful career in management, Turner was a respected centre back who started out at Wrexham. He moved to Chester in 1968 having made more than 70 appearances at the Racecourse and was a first-team regular for five years before joining Shrewsbury.7 of 16Grenville Millington: Blues legend and now chairman, the goalkeeper featured in more than 300 games for Chester. He had been playing for Oswestry Town when Wrexham signed him in 1983 to help them through a goalkeeping crisis and made a handful of appearances for the Reds.8 of 16Ian Rush: Liverpool legend started his career at Sealand Road and moved to Anfield for a then record £300,000 in 1980. Marked himself out as one the world's best finishes over the next 15 years before dropping down to join Wrexham in 1998.9 of 16Jon Walters: Now an international and Premier League starter at Stoke City, the hard-working forward struggled at Wrexham and opted to swicth to Chester in 2006 despite being offered a new deal. His move paid off and Ipswich Town splashed out £150,000 on him 18 months later.10 of 16Neil Ashton: Left-back joined Chester in summer 2009 and was a first-team regular but his appearances were wiped from the record books when the club was expelled from the Conference. Ashton joined Wrexham the following season and is still at the Racecourse.11 of 16Paul Comstive: Joined Wrexham from Wigan Athletic in 1984 and spent three years at the Racecourse before switching to Burnley. Signed for Chester in 1991, scoring in the first league match at the Deva Stadium, but was released two years later. Tragically died in December 2013 aged just 52.12 of 16Phil Bolland: A favourite of Mark Wright, the Liverpool-born centre back had two spells at Chester, winning the Conference title in 2004. He fell down the pecking order under Bobby Williamson and joined Wrexham but couldn't keep the Reds in the Football League and left following relegation.13 of 16Roger Preece: Talented midfielder made more than 100 appearances at Wrexham before his release in 1990 and soon found a home at Chester. Helped the Blues finish as runners-up in Division Three in 1994 and named player of the season in 1994-95 but a nasty injury curtailed his progress and he was never quite the same.14 of 16Ronnie Sinclair: Scottish goalkeeper made 11 appearances on loan at Wrexham in 1984 and 12 years later joined Chester from Stoke City. Made an excellent impression but eventually lost his place to Wayne Brown and dropped into non-league football.15 of 16Wes Baynes: Attacking full-back came through the ranks at Wrexham, making more than 70 appearances before falling out of favour. Neil Young brought him to Chester and he helped his hometown club to back-to-back league titles.16 of 16
