RUNCORN'S excellent away record continued with a dramatic late winner at Gainsborough Trinity in the Uni-Bond Premier.
Substitute Ged Courtney scored the only goal with two minutes to go and give the Linnets another useful three points as they push for a top 13 finish.
Conditions in Lincolnshire were difficult and Runcorn faced a gale in the first half.
McGinn's attempted cross nearly went in under the Trinity crossbar, the keeper palming it away, and Garrity was inches wide with a drive across Lindley.
In the second half, they had the wind at their backs and adopted a shoot on sight policy.
Both Garrity and Spearritt sent strikes from outside the box flashing narrowly past the goal.
For most of the time, Nolan and Ness had the home strikers well-shackled but they had scares when Ellington's header hit the crossbar and later when Smith's shot needed pushing away by McMillan.
Just when it looked like finishing all square, the Linnets won a corner which was swung into the six-yard box and finished powerfully by Courtney.
RUNCORN: McMillan, Spearritt, McGinn, Nolan, Ellis, Ness, Garrity, Morley, Kissock, Lightfoot (Courtney, 72), Rendell. Subs: Aldridge, Mitchell.
