WITH the new Blue Square North season only just around the corner, Vauxhall Motors have been putting some final touches to their pre-season plans both on and off the field.

The club has tied up another season’s sponsorship with car dealership Lookers of Wirral, who have been in partnership with Motors since 2000.

On the playing front, Motors have moved quickly to bring in a replacement for Northwich-bound keeper James Coates. Boss Carl Macauley has signed Danzelle St Louis-Hamilton on loan from Premiership club Stoke City.

The 19-year-old spent a spell on loan at Bristol Rovers last season.

Motors continued their preparations for the new season with a 5-3 friendly defeat at home to Wrexham on Tuesday. Goals by Karl Noon, Brian Moogan (pen) and Josh Wilson were not enough for the hosts, who defeated Cymru Alliance outfit Caernarfon Town 4-2 at Rivacre Park on Saturday.

Vauxhall split their first-team squad for matches at Cammell Laird and at home to Prestatyn Town this Saturday (both 3pm).
