LOUIS Edwards was the hat-trick hero for Malpas as they won 4-1 at home to Groves Rangers in their Chester & District Junior League Under 10s Blue Division game.
James Jacks grabbed Malpas’ other goal as man of the match was Dane Tinsley.
In the Yellow Division, Upton Pumas took on Newton Athletic Hawks at home and emerged as 3-1 winners. Goals came from Mac Johnston, Luke Charlton and Oscar Boulton, while MoM was left-back James Berry.
In the Green Division, Blacon triumphed 2-0 away to Westminster Park Panthers with goals from MoM Jack Chaloner and Jack Sconce. Renit Adke was Panthers’ MoM.
Saughall Colts put up a determined showing against Ellesmere Port JFC Rovers, but were overpowered 9-0. The Colts’ MoM was Reece Rowlands.
In the Red Division, Jake Johnson and MoM Gerard Whyborn scored a quick-fire hat-trick each for Hawker Jets as they beat Porto Panthers 9-2. Matty Campbell, Cole Wilson and Olly Johnson completed the Jets tally.
Newton Eagles visited Elton Youth and emerged 6-0 winners.
Hawker Jets returned to winning ways against Princes Villa in the Under 11s Division A with a 5-1 win.
They were aided by a turbo-charged performance by Junior Scott, who scored a brace, while Andy MacLean produced a wonder goal.
