VICARS Cross Dynamos have done the double in the Chester & District Sunday League.

Their 3-0 victory over Malpas at the Exacta Stadium last Thursday saw them lift the Chester & District Sunday FA Cup – just a week after they clinched the Section A title.

Malpas made the brighter start to last week’s final, but Vicars Cross struck in the 18th minute, Nathan Freeman scoring from a goal-mouth scramble.

Before Malpas could settle, goal number two arrived via Nathan Mapletoft.

It was all over by half time as Paul Sweeney broke the offside trap three minutes before the break and coolly slotted home for 3-0.

Thursday’s results – Concorde Trophies Section A: FC Bull & Stirrup 5 Corner Pin LG 5. Abbey Taxi’s Section B: AFC Lock Vaults 3 Frodsham Athletic 4.
