THE local senior football scene comes to a climax over the next eight days with a series of finals at the Exacta Stadium.

Kicking proceedings off is tomorrow’s Chester & District FA Senior Cup final between Chester Nomads and Highfield Athletic (6pm).

Nomads will be hot favourites having won promotion into West Cheshire League Division One, but Highfield will be out to cause a huge upset and win what could be the first of three trophies.

The Blacon outfit will return to the home of Chester FC on Monday in a bid to retain the Chester & District League Tom Gerraghty Memorial Trophy by beating Kelsall (6pm).

Highfield, as holders, will then make the trip back to the Exacta on Friday, May 13 when they take on league rivals Waggon & Horses in the Chester & District FA Challenge Cup showpiece (6pm).

Before then there are two more Chester & District League finals, both of which take place this Saturday.

The Cayzer Shield decider between Waggon & Horses and Peacock 09 kicks-off at 11am with the final of the League Cup between treble-chasing Kelsall and Kelma following at 3pm.

The Chester & District FA Sunday Cup final is held on Sunday at 11am.

Going for glory will be holders Corner Pin LG and their Chester & District Sunday League adversaries Vicars Cross Dynamos.
