CORNER Pin needed extra time to see off Vicars Cross Dynamos and lift the Chester Sunday League’s Dale Recycling Solutions League Cup in a thrilling 5-3 win.

The Saltney side went ahead after five minutes through Lennox Beddows, but Nathan Mapletoft equalised on 20 minutes.

A Beddows penalty early in the second half made it 2-1 saw Vicars Cross reduced to 10 men, but they battled on gamely.

After goalkeeper Adam Bedford pulled off a double save to keep them in the game, Mapletoft struck late on for Vicars Cross to force extra time.

Pin regained the lead, only for Paul Sweeney to equalise.

However, in the second period of extra time Joe Desormeaux and Lee Stephens scored for Pin to make it 5-3.
