ANDY Preece continues to reshape his Airbus UK Broughton squad.

The Wingmakers boss, who signed six players from his former club Northwich Victoria last month, has swooped for Jack Lewis and Toby Jones following the collapse of full-time rivals Neath.

Players contracted to the Eagles are now free to join new clubs after the club’s liquidation was officially confirmed last Friday.

Lewis is an attacking wing-back who came through the Rhyl youth system and was a regular for Prestatyn Town until he made the switch to Neath last summer.

The 24-year-old left-footer was a virtual ever-present for the Eagles in the 2011-12 campaign and is a Wales Under 23s international.

He has also played for the Welsh Colleges team.

Jones, who has also played for the national semi-professional side, was a surprise signing by then Neath management duo Terry Boyle and Peter Nicholas in July of last year.

He was snapped up due to being a prolific scorer with Conwy United in the Welsh Alliance.

Jones will be fighting for a starting place up front next season against the likes of Mike Hayes, who has signed a new 12-month deal with Airbus.

Niki-Lee Bulmer, Danny Desormeaux, Ryan Edwards, Tommy Holmes, Shaun McCartney, Glenn Rule, Danny Taylor and Craig Whitfield have also been retained by the Broughton outfit.

Tarporley Victoria are looking to freshen up their squad for next season.

Their first team will play in Division Two of the Cheshire League, while their reserves will be in the Crewe & District Saturday League.

Vics’ first pre-season training session will be held on the Eaton Road playing field in Tarporley on Monday (7pm-9pm).

Their first friendly of the summer is at Cuddington on Thursday, July 5 (7pm).

Anyone interested in joining Vics with a view to playing for their senior sides next season should contact first-team manager Steve Lloyd.
