CESTRIAN Alex made it to double figures on Saturday as they romped into the second round of the Chester FA Unite the Union Challenge Cup.

Adi Gough scored six of his side’s goals in a 10-4 victory over Hoole Rangers Reserves. Adi Graves (2), Graham Rowlands and Jimmy Smith were also on target for the Alex.

Chester Nomads 3rds forced extra time in their Chester & District Roodee Web Designs TGMT tie at FC Village, but ended up on the wrong end of a 6-3 scoreline.

The match was tied at 3-3 at the end of normal time.

In the Chester and District League, Whitby Athletic top the Queensferry Sports Premier Division table.

They claimed a 7-4 home win over Waggon and Horses, whose goals were scored by Sam Henry (2), Lee King-McGee and Adam Stenning.

Second-placed Hoole Rangers drew 1-1 at Levers Bushell Athletic, Josh Leach scoring for the Chester side.

Chris Larson and Joey Waters netted for Greyhound Inn as they lost 3-2 at home to Ellesmere Port 3rds.

In Olympic Trophies Division One, Orange Athletic defeated Ashton 2-1 while Woodlands Santos won 3-0 at Pensby Athletic. Neil Norris bagged two goals as Uberlube beat Halfwayhouse Celtic 4-1.
