PREMIER Division leaders Blacon YC Reserves preserved their six-point lead at the summit after a high-scoring clash at Team Highfield.

Blacon ran out 5-3 winners with goals from Russell Whitley (2), Richard Daponeao, Shaun Crimes and Todd Reid.

Dave Burgen, Graham Carine and Adam Langton kept Highfield in the hunt.

Tarporley Vics are still second after coming through a tight encounter at Newton Athletic Youth. Vics won 2-1 with goals from Aaron Brown and Damian Woods canceling out a strike from Nathan Jones.

Goals from Lennox Beddows, Nathan Freeman and Ray Prior netted to give third-placed Hoole Rangers a 3-2 success at Duddon United.

Paul and Graham Bennion (2) helped Waggon and Horses take a 3-1 lead against Cestrian Alex, who salvaged a 3-3 draw thanks to Adi Gough's hat-trick.

The division's highest scoring game saw Frodsham United triumph 5-4 at Chester Nomads seconds with goals from Gavin Daily, Les Brownbill, Bob Colty, Lee Allan and John Brownbill.

Brewery Arms went down 4-3 at home to Kydds Athletic, who netted through an own goal and others for Ian Savage, Mike Neary, Gary Pollitt.

Plenty of goals were scored in Division One, with third-placed Castrol Social winning 6-3 at Barrow Athletic Seconds. Graham Schruber (2) and Adam Grimes netted for Athletic.

Crossway ran out 5-4 winners over Bank of Scotland, James Potter, Pete Siddle, Martin Hill, Carl Mackie and Steve Gore scoring their goals.

Alex Richards scored a late winner for Ashton Lions in their 1-0 success over Bebington Athletic, while Lee Jones and John McKie were on the mark for Rangers Brakes in their 2-2 draw with Chester Nomads thirds.

Brendan Gerrard's late strike handed Blacon YC a 3-2 win over Runcorn Albion, Dave Peters and Jordan Sharpe scoring their other goals.
