A TEAM of forty-something Frodsham fathers are taking on the three peaks challenge in under 24 hours to raise money for the Arthritis Research UK Noddy Appeal.
The twelve dads, including 39-year-old chartered surveyor Stuart Prescott, of Hill Field, Frodsham – whose daughter Elizabeth was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis aged just two years old – will be attempting the challenge on July 3.
Frodsham Primary School pupil Elizabeth, eight, said: “I think my dad is really brave and it’s great lots of my friends’ dads are joining in too.
“They say they will be looking after each other on the mountains. I hope so.
“It will be hard but Dad’s told me he will try his best as he’s doing it for me.”
The trek will begin at Ben Nevis in Scotland on the Saturday afternoon, before the team attempt an overnight ascent of Scafell Pike in the Lake District before finally summating Snowdon in North Wales on Sunday afternoon.
The minibus has been supplied free of charge by Dave Farrell of Hough Green Garage Car and Van Hire, Hale Bank, Widnes.
