LOUIS Saha is almost certain to miss the remainder of Everton's season after undergoing surgery on his injured ankle, it was confirmed today.
The French striker had already told media in Paris that he feared he would not play again this campaign, after being stretchered off against Fulham at Goodison.
But David Moyes confirmed the latest setback in his weekly pre-match press conference today.
The Toffees boss added, however, that Mikel Arteta is due back from a period recuperating in Spain this weekend, and may still recover from a hamstring injury in time to figure in some of his side's remaining games.
It means Jermaine Beckford and Victor Anichebe are the only two available strikers fully fit for tomorrow's clash with Aston Villa. Doubts remain over Tim Cahill and Seamus Coleman.
