Everton FC chairman Bill Kenwright was today in mourning after the death of his 93-year-old mother.
Hope Kenwright, who regularly attended matches at Goodison Park with her son, passed away yesterday.
In an official statement on the club website, chief executive Robert Elstone said: "Hope was a wonderful lady who was much loved by everyone at Goodison.
"She added a ray of sunshine on each of her frequent visits to the stadium. She adored Everton and the city of Liverpool. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and legion of friends."
