EVERTON have confirmed they will travel to Indonesia next month to play in the 2012 Java Cup as part of their pre-season schedule.
The Toffees will face Turkish club Galatasaray and the national sides of Malayasia and Indonesia in the competition, which will take place in the capital Jakarta.
Blues midfielder Marouane Fellaini was in Jakarta yesterday to publicise the tournament, which had been mooted for weeks but could only be confirmed once Everton had finalised financial details.
The games will take place over a four-day period from July 26-29 at the 88,000 capacity Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
David Moyes' side will face Galatasaray first on July 26, kicking off at 9pm local time (3pm BST). The winners of that game will face the winners of the game between Indonesia and Malaysia. The two losers will play off for third place.
There will not be any official club travel packages for the trip.
Everton now have confirmed pre-season friendly matches against Morecambe (Saturday, August 14), Dundee United (Wednesday, August 18), Motherwell (Saturday, August 21), Blackpool (Sunday, August 5), Tony Hibbert’s testimonial match against AEK Athens at Goodison Park (Wednesday, August 8) and Malaga (Saturday, August 11).
