RUNCORN FC Halton stage a UniBond Family Fun Day for the first time this Saturday for the visit of traditional Cheshire rivals Stalybridge Celtic.

And there is a chance for supporters to win prizes, including a European holiday and a games console.

It is the second annual staging of the event, which will bring fun activities to every ground hosting a match in either division of the UniBond League.

The first 50 Under 16s to enter each ground will receive a voucher for a free burger and there is free entry for all children attending to a ball-in-the-bucket game, with 50 prizewinners at each match.

There will also be a balloon race for up to 200 participants at each ground.

The UniBond League supporter whose balloon travels furthest overall will win a Microsoft X-Box games console.

A competition which can likewise be entered at all participating grounds offers a first prize of a family holiday in Europe, the draw being made on April 23.

On the day, there will be three goodie bags of UniBond-branded products to be won at each ground in a half-time draw.

Meanwhile, the teams scoring the quickest home and away goals of the afternoon will each win six training balls for their club.

UniBond League spokesman Phil Bradley said: 'Last year's UniBond Fun Day was a huge success, despite being in competition with events such as the Grand National.

'This year's event has no immediate counter attractions and promises to be even better.'
