DAVE Tasker made a welcome return, scoring from the penalty spot after Tom Swann was brought down in the third minute.
But despite Barnton being dominant, Daten levelled midway through the first half and knocked the visitors out of their rhythm.
Barnton lifted themselves after the break and Alex Dunne restored their lead after good work from Tasker.
Lee Sproats made an excellent clearance off the line but Barnton looked for the most part in control of the game and on 83 minutes put the result beyond doubt when Paul Allen found Tasker with a quality clearance, the talented striker finishing in style.
Acting manager for the day Mike Allen said: 'We lost our way for a while after they scored, but their goalkeeper kept the score down.'
