DANNY WILSON has hailed Liverpool team-mate Jamie Carragher as the perfect role model for aspiring young defenders.
The 19-year-old has learned a great deal from training with Carragher, who moved into fourth place in the club's all-time appearance list after playing his 661st game in last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at West Brom.
“The way he works, his professionalism and his approach to training is second to none, so it's not really a surprise to hear he's played that many times,” Wilson said.
“When you see him every day you see how good he is and how he's got himself to where he is. He's an example of what a young player needs to do.”
