NANTWICH Town reserves completed a super season with a 9-0 demolition job on Atherton LR.

Even keeper Danny Reade got in on the scoring act when he cracked home a penalty during the high-scoring victory at Reaseheath College on Saturday.

Rob Adlington notched a hat-trick, Pete Murphy grabbed a brace, while Dave Griffin (pen), Scott Beasley, and Adam Landstrome got one each.

The win meant the Dabbers, who lifted the Crewe FA Cup in May, sealed the runners-up spot behind Formby in the North West Counties League Reserves Division, and erased the memory of the recent 1-0 league cup final defeat to Nelson.

Proud boss Alan Cooper said: 'We've had a good season.'
