CHESTER City boss Keith Curle has described his club's pairing with Coca Cola Championship side Wolves in the first round of the Carling Cup as "fantastic".

"It's a great draw for us, not just for the players, but also for our supporters," said Curle, who made 200 apearances for the Molineux outfit between 1996 and 2000.

"I have happy memories of my time there, and it will be great to take my Chester side down there."

City striker Michael Branch also had a spell with Wolves a few seasons ago, and Curle is convinced that the player will be fired up for the game.

"Branchy is a quality goal scorer and I know that he will be keen to make a point on his return to Molineux."

The tie is likely to be played on Tuesday August 23.

Meanwhile, tomorrow is the last day for Chester supporters to take advantage of some greatly-reduced season ticket offers for the forthcoming campaign.
