CARL FURLONG snatched a dramatic late winner just when last night's friendly seemed destined for a draw.

Fielding a mixture of first and second team players, Chester were on top in the first half, with recent signing Michael Brown going close three times and Carl Ruffer heading over the bar.

In a more even second period Chester had the chances to score but Lee Elam and Stuart Whittaker failed to find the target.

Colwyn were always competitive and finished the game very strongly with Stuart McCormick heading over and having a shot saved by John Worsnop.

With two minutes remaining McCormick released Furlong with a glorious pass and he raced from the half way line to see his first shot parried by the keeper but he made no mistake with the rebound.
