RAMPANT Witton equalled their best ever Wincham Park goal haul, on Tuesday in the UniBond League Cup 1st round.

They trounced Colwyn Bay by the same scoreline in 1994, but could have easily beaten Clitheroe by more with two good penalty appeals turned down and at least four players spurning good chances.

The ones that went in:

* Chris Gahgan (3 minutes) neat finish, Rob Lloyd cross.

* Liam Brownhil (18) after cutting in from the bye-line. lMike Moseley (26) glancing header.

* Gahgan (32) from the penalty spot after Moseley had been felled.

* Griff Jones (47) snaffled up a poor back pass.

* Mark Peers (53), Gahgan assist, far corner shot.

* Jones (56) good turn, clipped shot.

* Adam Warlow (73) simple header, another Gahgan play.

James Dean replied for Clitheroe, who had been beaten four days earlier 10-1 at Kettering.
