CHESTER have applied for membership of the Pontin's Holidays League next season, which is a move designed to bridge the gap between reserve team football and the Football League.
If they are accepted, City would be playing the second teams of the likes of Wrexham, Wigan Athletic and Bury.
The reserves concluded their Lancashire League season this week. On Monday they drew 0-0 with Burscough, whilst they defeated Bradford Park Avenue 3-1 on Wednesday evening.
