CHESTER City kept up their unbeaten pre-season record, recording their fourth victory of the summer in a 2-0 success at Connah's Quay Nomads.

City were always in control against the League of Wales outfit and goals either side of half-time from Danny Collins and Ben Davies recorded the impressive victory.

Collins' goals came after 33 minutes after Simpson had saved an effort from McIntyre, Collins hammering home from ten yards.

Ten minutes into the second period, Davies registered a stunning goal with a snapshot from 25 yards that fizzed into the corner.

Chester included trialist Paul Warhurst in their outfit.

The 35-year-old midfielder, who counts Sheffield Wednesday among his previous clubs, is currently hoping for a contract at the Deva Stadium.
