CHESTER City will reopen contract negotiations with central defender Scott Guyett this week following preliminary discussions last month.
The 28-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, is the only member of the current City first team squad who hasn't finalised arrangements for the forthcoming season.
"We are keen to continue our talks with Scott, and hopefully complete contract details in the next day or so," said City chairman Stephen Vaughan last night.
With the Nationwide Conference transfer deadline falling this week the City chairman was tight lipped about the league lead-er's intentions.
The Conference have informed Chester that the match against Telford United at Bucks Head which had been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 31, has been brought forward 24 hours and will now be played next Tuesday, March 30 (kick-off 7.45 pm).
The game is not all-ticket, but City supporters will not be allowed into the main stand, only terracing accommodation will be made available to them.
In another development, the away fixture at title-chasing Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday, April 13, has been made all-ticket. Details of the selling arrangements will be announced later this week.
