CHESTER CITY will take advice from the PFA and Football League today after Derek Asamoah failed to turn up for training yesterday.

Asamoah, who is currently on loan at the Deva Stadium from Lincoln City, joined Chester in January and has made eight appearances for the club.

City chairman Stephen Vaughan said last night: "Asamoah's non-appearance training was extremely disappointing, so we will take advice from the appropriate authorities about possibly imposing a financial fine on the player."

Chester are still working actively to move some of their contracted players out of the club in order to make space in their squad to bring replacements in.

"Hopefully there will be movement in that department next week, Stephane Gillet moved on earlier this week, and I am fairly confident that in a few days time more players will be leaving the club," added the City chairman.

Striker Marcus Richardson has attracted interest from Conference clubs Aldershot and Woking, while winger Craig Dove was reportedly the subject of interest from Scarborough.

City are next in action tomorrow when they travel to face Darlington at the Williamson Stadium.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Paul Harrison is set to continue in goal, after impressing in Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Torquay.
